There are truly next-level modders who are working on making Zelda a fully-playable character in Breath of the Wild, with all the clothing, voices, and whatnot?a really impressive endeavour. Right now, Zelda is a playable character - she's been given a character model, can equip costumes which have also been hand-designed and has a new set of fan-recorded voices.

Aside from The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, the Zelda series has been pretty much exclusively a single-player experience, but that’s (unofficially) about to change thanks to a fan mod ( via Gamnesia).Ī modder who goes by the name Fooni is working on a mod that would bring local multiplayer to the Wii U version of the game (since games on older consoles are typically easier to mod).
